Foundation
The Oklahoma State Council has the privilege of donating money raised throughout the year through our state Foundation campaign to the National SHRM Foundation. Oklahoma’s contributions are used to help fund Innovative Academic Research Grants, scholarships for HR professionals obtaining their degree or certification and for educational resources including free Effective Practice Guides which convey research of various human resource topics.
Your contributions had a direct impact on Oklahoma Human Resource professionals as we congratulated Lance Fannon of Oklahoma State University when he received a $2,500 undergraduate scholarship from the National Foundation in 2008. To support the Foundation the Oklahoma State Council conducts annual fundraising campaigns. We work together as a state council, local chapters and business partners to reach established goals set forth each year.
All money donated by the Oklahoma State Council to the Foundation is sent directly to the SHRM Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The Foundation is a legally separate organization, and is not funded by SHRM membership dues.
The Oklahoma State council is very grateful for the generous support we receive from our local chapters, the state council members, individuals and corporations. Your financial support is vital to ensure that the SHRM Foundation can continue this important work within the Human Resources profession.
