Shelby Meadows, SHRM-CP
Shelby Meadows, SHRM-CP, is the 2016-2017 Social Media Director for OKHR and the 2016-2017 Vice President of Membership for the Sooner HR Society. Shelby is also an HR Consultant at Nextep, providing HR guidance to small business owners on employment best practices, employee relations, discipline and termination, employee handbooks, job descriptions, FMLA, unemployment, and more. Shelby is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Human Resource Management and holds an MBA from Southern Nazarene University. Jessica Crews is an HR business analyst for Williams and works for their Leadership, Learning, and Performance function. In addition to managing multiple employee learning programs throughout the company, she also manages the career development and mentoring practice areas. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2014 with degrees in Human Resource Management and Marketing and started working for Williams in early 2015. Jessica is involved with Tulsa Young Professionals, Women’s Energy Network, Tulsa Regional Chamber’s Mosaic, and was honored to be named Tulsa Area Human Resource Association’s 2015 Outstanding New Professional. Greg King, SHRM-CP
Greg King, SHRM-CP, has been the Training and Education Coordinator at LifeShare of Oklahoma since May 2014 where he is the recruiting rock star and new hire orientation ninja! Born in Arkansas he began his professional career in the United States Air Force, serving 4 years in Great Falls, Montana. After his enlistment he moved to Oklahoma City to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership at Southern Nazarene University little did he know that it would be here that he would find his career passion in Human Resources. He later went on to graduate from Keller Graduate School of Management with his Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management. Lisa McConnell, featured in HR Magazine’s June 2012 Member Insight, has 15 years of hands-on experience ranging from recruitment to benefits, performance management and training to strategic planning, legal compliance, investigations, and more for both non-profit and for-profit companies. Lisa knows her way around the block in HR. She loves Hobby Lobby! Did we mention she also loves social media? Chris Fields, MLHR
Chris Fields, MLHR, is a native of Memphis, TN, earned a Master’s in Labor and Human Resources from Ohio State University. In 2011, he started his first website “CostofWork.com” and he began working with local state conference leaders on their social media strategies. Chris used social media to connect with other HR professionals and in 2013, he launched “the Résumé Crusade” website where he helps job seekers with their resume credentials: resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and job search techniques.
He has been featured on Monster.com, Mashable.com and even Oprah.com. Chris has presented at Tennessee SHRM 2013 and 2014, Baton Rouge Louisiana State Conference in 2014, Oklahoma HR in 2013 and 2014, Missouri SHRM in 2014, and Northern Alabama SHRM in 2015 and Pike University 2015.
