Oklahoma Work-Based Learning Summit

  • June 17, 2019
  • Moore Norman Technology Center / South Penn

OKHR  is co-sponsoring the first Oklahoma Work-Based Learning Summit in partnership with Oklahoma Works, Oklahoma City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and the National Skills Coalition on Monday, June 17th at Moore Norman Technology Center/South Penn Campus in Oklahoma City.

This one-day summit will show you the direct benefits of Work-Based Learning through engaging panels and interactive breakout sessions. Join business owners, executives and human resources professionals from across industries and across the state to become equipped for establishing and administering work-based learning programs. Learn from experienced peers who have affected change, created skilled workers, and motivated employees through apprenticeships and internships.

This Summit is the forerunner for our OKHR Blue Collar Worker Tours scheduled in Oklahoma City on September 13th and in Tulsa on September 24th as our Workforce Readiness 2019 and 2020 initiatives.

There is no charge to attend the Summit; but you must register and attendance is limited to 300 attendees.  Breakfast is provided by OKHR and lunch is provided by the OKC Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

Registration is now live to attend Oklahoma’s first Work-Based Learning Summit on June 17th at the Moore-Norman Technology Center, South Penn Campus. You can register at: https://okworksummit.com.

If you have been considering implementing an apprenticeship in your company, The Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development will award ten $10,000 grants to launch new apprenticeship programs throughout the state. Applicants who apply as a consortium are eligible for up to $15,000. For more information on grant details and submissions, please visit this link.  Grantee awards will be announced at the Work-Based Learning Summit on June 17, 2019.

We hope to see you there!
