This program will be held at Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:30 AM. Cost to attend is $25 and lunch will be provided. Our speaker is Jamie Mata, investigative analyst with Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General.
The purpose of this presentation is to impart a better understanding of the WCIFU, with the intention of providing knowledge for successful investigations and prosecutions, while setting realistic expectations.
Learning objectives:
The session will be held in Classroom A102. You will enter via Entrance 1 or 2 and park in Parking Lot A or B. Lunch will be provided. RSVP is required.
Jamie J. Mata is an Investigative Analyst with the Worker's Compensation and Insurance Fraud Unit at the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma. As as Investigative Analyst, he intakes, processes, and investigates all referrals and complaints received to determine if the threshold has been met in order to recommend the next stage of the investigative process. Along with his investigative duties, he acts as a Liaison and Outreach Coordinator for his Unit. In those roles, he has reached out and developed working partnerships with insurance companies, state agencies and boards, including law enforcement agencies. With the purpose to bridge gaps and form relationships intended in building better cases for successful investigations and prosecutions. He attended East Central University, where he joined Lambda Alpha Epsilon and completed an internship as a Commissioned Police Officer graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Along with his internship, he has also shadowed with Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection Agents.
This program will be delivered in-person with no virtual option.
