In the fast-paced world of HR, technical expertise and problem-solving skills are essential - but they're not enough. Emotional Intelligence (EQ) plays a critical role in effective leadership, communication, and decision-making.
This interactive session will break down the core components of EQ - self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management - giving HR professionals both a personal understanding and practical tools to coach others.
Through discussion, reflection, and hands-on exercises, participants will explore how EQ influences workplace culture, performance, and retention.
Learning objectives:
- Understand and apply the core components of EQ.
- Develop practical EQ coaching strategies.
- Enhance workplace culture through emotional intelligence.
The session will be held in Classroom D113. You will enter via Entrance 2 and park in Parking Lot D. Lunch will be provided. RSVP is required.
Amie Haar is the founder of Emerge, Consulting based in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Amie is passionate about many things, including her faith, her family, the power of a good belly laugh, and the way in which the world can thrive by means of education (especially when it comes to ourselves!).
Outside of owning her own business, Amie loves being with her husband, Josh, their three beautiful children, Ava, Miles, and Warren, cracking open a new book, drinking a good cup of coffee, exploring the outdoors, and spending an evening at the theater.
This program will be delivered in-person with no virtual option.
