Join us for an engaging presentation with Yasmin Avila. 

Yasmin Avila is an Administrative Programs Manager/Business Services Coordinator with the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services, where she oversees the statewide Business Services Program. A Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and ADA Coordinator (ADAC), she brings a diverse background in law, business, counseling, human resources and workforce development, including experience as a business trainer, studies in business law and HR. Yasmin works closely with employers, workforce partners, and community organizations to support workforce development, workplace accessibility, and employment initiatives across Oklahoma. Her work focuses on helping businesses and job seekers succeed through practical, collaborative solutions.

Session Objectives

Participants will:

• Explore common workplace situations involving accommodation requests and disability-related employment issues.
• Discuss practical considerations that may arise during the interactive process.
• Examine resources available to employers when accommodation questions arise.
• Consider multiple approaches to resolving workplace challenges while maintaining business operations.
• Reflect on the shared role employers and employees play in identifying effective workplace solutions.
