"Talking Funny:  Turning Miscommunication into a Laughing Matter"

Overview:  Ever found yourself puzzled by an email that got lost in translation or a team misunderstanding that spiraled unexpectedly? Let’s navigate together through the humorous side of workplace miscommunications and uncover strategies to foster a more engaging, empathetic, and connected team environment. Join JD in discovering how laughter can be a powerful tool in building resilience and enhancing team dynamics. Get ready for an engaging session filled with insights, laughter, and practical takeaways on turning those awkward missteps into moments of connection and joy.

    Presenter:  JD Robinson

JD Robinson isn't just any Human Resources executive--he's like the Swiss Army Knife of HR! With certifications such as SPHR and SHRM-SCP, and obtaining his PMP and CPP certifications later this year, he will have more letters after his name than an alphabet soup! But don't let all those fancy acronyms fool you--JD's got a great sense of humor to match his impressive credentials. His background includes extensive experience in employee relations, employment law, operations, talent acquisitions, compensation and benefits, strategic planning, organizational leadership, and team building. In short, he's the full package when it comes to HR. His ability to develop and implement effective HR strategies has resulted in improved employee engagement, increased retention, and overall organizational success. His secret weapon? A well-timed joke or two. He firmly believes that humor is the best way to break down barriers and build strong, positive relationships in the workplace. So if you're looking for an HR executive who can make you laugh while also expertly navigating complex HR challenges, JD Robinson is your man--just be sure to put down your coffee before he starts cracking jokes--we're not responsible for your dry cleaning bill.

A boxed lunch will be served.

"Power Up Your Workforce: AI Adoption Strategies for Success

Overview:  Does it feel like artificial intelligence is dominating the headlines…? It’s because it is… Or maybe the robots just want us to think that! Regardless, it’s clear that this technology is transforming the way we work. As HR professionals, it is critical that we not only stay up-to-date on these changes but also position ourselves to lead the adoption of AI in our organizations. In this session, we will explore how HR can disrupt the current approach to technology adoption and unleash the power of our workforce in a future where AI and humans thrive together.

    Objectives:

    • Understand the importance of change management in the successful adoption of AI in the workplace.
    • Learn about the Prosci ADKAR change model and how to apply it to the adoption of AI in the workplace.
    • Gain practical tips and strategies for effectively meeting your humans where they are  and overcoming resistance to change.

        Presenter:  Donny Greenwalt

Donny is a proud dad of three energetic boys and a happy husband to Caitlin, a fellow OKC HR professional. When he’s not wrangling his boys, you can find him elbow deep in soil tending his fruit and veggie garden. Although it cuts into his gardening habit, he enjoys teaching Strategic HR Management in OU’s Price College of Business. His full-time gig is leading the Organizational Change Management function at American Fidelity, but here's a little secret--while he’s known as "the change guy" at work, he sometimes catches himself resisting change at home, especially when it comes to his boys growing up! If you need advice on how to balance work and family, or want to nerd out about gardening, he’s here to lend an ear (or a green thumb)!

A boxed lunch will be served.
